The Cascadial Wrap by Erin Kurup is a lace and mosaic knitting project perfect for anyone who loves a giant shawl to wrap up in. It's a fabulous way to show off a miniskein set, so I've put together two yarn kits for this amazing wrap. The Nebula set Beta yarn kit features the new Beta set of Nebula miniskeins on Star Stuff Sock for that little bit of sparkle in the mosaic sections. Five Nebula colorways (Rosette Nebula, Orion Nebula, Iris Nebula, California Nebula, and Helix Nebula) are set against a backdrop of Oxygen on Electron Sock, giving an awesome daytime cloudy sky versus nighttime sparkling stars effect.
From Erin's description of the Cascadial Wrap on Ravelry: Mixing simple lace and mosaic motifs, Cascadial makes a great intro project for exploring a popular colorwork technique while being varied enough to hold the interest of experienced knitters. The bias construction sets the bands of color and lace on an angle, lending drama to the overall effect and drape to the finished piece. And thanks to Cascadial’s panel setup, all kinds of customizations — including length, width, and color scheme, all of which are addressed in the pattern and free planning worksheet — are a cinch.
What's included: The Cascadial Wrap Nebula set Beta yarn kit includes two skeins of Oxygen as the Main Color (approximately 800 yards/200g) and one set of Nebula Miniskeins set Beta (approximately 87 yards per 20g mini/435 yards total). The sample pictured was knit with the Cascadial Wrap Nebula set Alpha and no modifications to the pattern. It used approximately 170g of the MC and 15g of each miniskein with two mosaic sections worked in each of the five nebula colorways. Please consider your own gauge and needle choice when making modifications.
