The Stratia by Erin Kurup is a parallelogram shaped shawl named after the distinct layers (strata) seen in rock when cut along the cross section. Worked in two pieces, Stratia starts with a triangle shawl shape and then is extended along one edge on the bias. Put that half on hold and do the same thing once more before joining them in the center with a three needle bind off!

From Erin's description of the Stratia Wrap on Ravelry: Intricate doesn’t have to mean complicated. Stratia’s single lace motif plus rows of garter and stockinette stitch create the illusion of a piece that appears more complex than it really is. Repetition and intuitive lace make it easy to slip into a knitting groove, while the offbeat construction keeps things interesting. Plus, the layered structure presents plenty of leeway for color play. Solids, tonals, and lightly speckled or variegated colorways will show the lace off most clearly, but don’t let that stop you from getting creative!

This listing is for the two-color version of the Stratia wrap with Carbon as the Main Color and Krypton as the Contrast Color.
